Dakota:
She's been busy with the Doggie Training pads. Completely soaked the pad in the morning. Went out to get the Human Box Trap for Jonah and came home to a couple #2s on the pad. We were so happy because we were so confused on where she would go and apparently she held it in for 4 days! Well she would go a little bit before but this time it was... "wow, that came out of her?" that moments.
Other than that, she's being her Dakota self. Just laying on her bed. Enjoying the view. I give her little massages when I brush her hair. She just stays there like a good doggie.
Jonah:
I wish I had a rodeo clown living with me. If I did, we would've caught him a long time ago! I ran into 2 neighbor's backyards and down 3 blocks before he ran into the forest/trees/vacant lots covered with vegetation. He keeps getting closer. I think it's because I left a trail of food to my house.
But this time, we're prepared! We went all the way to Winter Haven to the Polk County's Animal Control to pick up the Human Box trap for dogs. It's huge! Bill the officer helped us with tying it on top of our car. The top of the car is pretty scratched up already. We had it lay on a cardboard box and used nylon string we got from Lowe's/Ikea to strap it down onto our car. He used a "trucker knot" to strap it down. Good to know because we'll have to do it when we return the trap.
We can keep it for up to 7 days but we hope that we can catch him as soon as possible! We used Dakota's #1 soaked training pad to bring him in. We used wet stinky dog food and a sugar water mix to entice him.We hope that we don't catch any raccoons or the neighbors' dogs!
We're checking it every hour or so to see if we caught him. We really hope to get him before it rains! Florida rain can be quite dangerous especially when you're a 15 lb dog. Look at our set up!
